چکیده

Abstract Impact–sliding caused by random vibrations between tubes and supports can affect the operation of heat exchangers. In addition, a corrosive environment cause damage, accelerating synergism corrosion wear. Therefore, focus this work was impact–sliding fretting tribocorrosion behavior 316L exchanger at different halide concentrations. A device system incorporating in situ electrochemical measurements wear constructed, experiments on sodium chloride (NaCl) solution with concentrations (0.0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 3.5, 5.0 wt%) were carried out. The also calculated analyzed. damage mechanisms elucidated correlating corrosion–wear synergism, morphologies, material loss rates. results indicated that stable stage occurred approximately 9–12 h, after which current increased expansion area. As concentration increased, scale scars gradually decreased, changing from being dominated cracks, delaminations, grooves to scratches, microgrooves, holes. There an obvious positive corrosion. pure mechanical enhanced corrosion, but contributed more than tangential sliding total mass range 0.0–0.5 wt% decreased 0.5–5.0 wt%. Large-scale corrosivity small-scale reduced lubricity low high concentrations, respectively.

The Effect of Surface Roughness on the Fretting Corrosion of 316l Stainless Steel Biomaterial Surfaces

The medical device industry is still seeking answers to the mechanically-assisted corrosion (MAC) problem, which becomes increasingly important due to modularity in design. MAC manifests in various forms, some of which are fretting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion. Several studies have been conducted to understand the causes and the factors that affect fretting corrosion. Some ...

Fatigue behavior of Austenitic Type 316L Stainless Steel

The aim of this work is to determine the fatigue life of 316L stainless steel. The mechanisms of fatigue of 316L stainless steels were investigated and discussed. The fatigue tests were carried out at constant-amplitude cyclic loading with load ratio R=0.1. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) is then used to examine the fracture surface. The results show that the fatigue limit of 316L stainless ...

CORROSION RESISTANCE OF TiN COATED 316L STAINLESS STEEL IN ARTIFICIAL PHYSIOLOGICAL SOLUTION

The corrosion behavior of TiN coated 316L stainless steel in an artificial physiological solution was investigated by means of an electrochemical test. Two different PVD methods were used for film deposition: cathodic arc and reactive magnetron sputtering. The dependence of the corrosion resistance on the main deposition parameters (nitrogen pressure, substrate bias) was analyzed. For a better ...

Electrochemical polishing of 316L stainless steel slotted tube coronary stents.

Surface smoothness is one of the properties determining the performance of stents. Therefore, surface polishing shows its importance in the exploitation and production of stents. The present study explores electrochemical polishing of 316L stainless steel slotted tube coronary stents produced by laser cutting. Acid pickling was also studied as a pre-treatment of electrochemical polishing of the...
